About Homizel

Homizel started because we kept getting the same texts from family and friends: “Hey, which VPN should I actually buy?” “Is this game okay for my kid?” “Which antivirus isn’t a scam?” Eventually we figured writing it all down would save everyone some time — including us.

We’re not a giant editorial team with a boardroom. We’re a small group of people who’ve spent years being the “tech person” in our friend groups, and we cover four things: games (and whether they’re actually fun or safe for your household), VPNs, everyday software, and now AI tools and news, since everyone’s suddenly asking about those too.

How We Try to Help

  • We skip the jargon where we can, and explain it plainly where we can’t
  • We actually install and use what we write about — no copy-pasting spec sheets
  • We flag when something is genuinely good for beginners, families, or people who just want it to work without fuss

We do earn a commission on some of the links here — see our Affiliate Disclosure — but that never decides what we recommend. Got a question or think we missed something? Reach out — we actually read our email.
